LUNG ART

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

THINGS I NEED TO DO:

1. BORROW A BETTER DIGITAL CAMERA
2. LEARN HOW TO TAKE PHOTOS OF ARTWORK PROPERLY

THE PHOTO IS OF SOMETHING I MADE TONIGHT.

ITS TITLED "THINGS GROW BACK" (INK ON MULBERRY PAPER).

I USED A NEW TECHNIQUE I'M CALLING *LUNG ART*.

I USE MY BREATH/LUNGS AS A TOOL AND BLOW ON WET INK.

I ALSO USED AN OVERHEAD PROJECTOR AND TOOK FROM CURLED UP WIRE TO PAINT THE LINES, FORM.

i'm preparing to do an overhead projector and, as with many of my projects, just before starting i see what's out there and look at the art that's been done & the materials and sometimes it gives me a new direction and sometimes i just keep going in the direction i was going. my original idea was to write letter from the building to the architect on the side of the wall. i'm completing a poetry residency in a corporation. it's an architectural firm. but i like your use of ink & wire. i'd love to experiment with both. i like your work a lot & i haven't been looking long. i'll hope to spend more time on your site. thanks. aka
